Steering Committee

The Advisory Committee provides organizational oversight and leadership on all funding, operational and policy issues related to the Carolina Homeless Information Network. The Advisory Committee is comprised of one delegate from each participating CoC and eight at-large members. The Advisory Committee works closely with the Lead Agency, North Carolina Housing Coalition, and CHIN staff to fulfill network goals and reporting requirements. This is a standing committee and reports to the NC Housing Coalition's Board of Directors.Minutes and Agendas triangle


Operations Committee

The Operations Committee is empowered by the Carolina Homeless Information Network Advisory Committee to work directly with the vendor (Bowman Systems, Inc.) and member agencies to produce recommendations for software implementation, technical operations, maintenance, security, privacy and end-user training.  This is a standing committee and serves continuously to perform its stated responsibility. Policy Committee

The Policy Committee is empowered by the Carolina Homeless Information Network Advisory Committee to research, study and document all policies and procedures necessary for the successful daily operation of the Carolina Homeless Information Network.  This committee will focus of agency relations, memorandum of agreements, privacy and security, and ethics and legal issues. The Fundraising Committee is empowered by the Carolina Homeless Information Network Advisory Committee to research, study and explore all appropriate avenues for long term financial sustainability.  This committee will provide specific revenue generating recommendations to the Advisory Committee.  Further this committee will supervise contracted grant writers to ensure productivity and alignment with CHIN’s mission. Membership Committee

The Membership Committee is empowered by the Carolina Homeless Information Network Advisory Committee to develop membership policies and procedures, review membership applications, make recommendations on agency membership and CHIN committee composition.  This committee may also create a Nominations sub-committee.  When required, the committee with serve as the arbiter for all membership related disputes. Committee Documents triangle
Reports
The Reports sub-committee is empowered by the Carolina Homeless Information Network Advisory Committee to formulate and enforce all policies and procedures for the development, review and distribution of all CHIN reports using network data.
